This month, we’re focused on security and transparency as part of the recruiting workflow, making best-practice processes effortless for the whole team.
Release Highlights
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Protecting candidate and hiring data starts with stronger access controls. With Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SmartRecruiters adds a secure extra layer to the existing login experience without requiring teams to overhaul their tech stack. Customers can choose to verify sign-ins with 30-second one-time codes generated by the authenticator app of their choice or delivered by email. The encrypted data behind those codes helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access, while temporary blocks after repeated failed attempts add protection against brute-force attacks. For talent acquisition teams, that means stronger security with no additional development effort and a simple, familiar sign-in flow that gives recruiters and hiring managers greater confidence that sensitive recruiting data stays protected.

Salary Transparency: Configurable Compensation Fields
This new add-on to Salary Transparency gives hiring teams much more control over how compensation appears on job ads across regions. Instead of a one-size-fits-all setup, admins can make compensation fields required, optional, or hidden, set visibility by country or region, and choose fixed amounts or salary ranges for each posting. This flexibility helps global organizations: meet local regulations, reduce the risk of non-compliant ads, and provide clearer salary information that builds candidate trust. In practice, recruiters have the option to require salary ranges be visible, make ranges visible but optional, or hide compensation in markets where disclosure is restricted. The system automatically applies the right rules and blocks only non-compliant postings.
